EUROPE Delivery

SHIPPING COSTS

Our shipping costs are shown below and include postage and packaging.

For many European countries, we use a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping service. This means all applicable import taxes, customs duties and import fees are paid at checkout, so you won't pay any additional charges when your parcel is delivered.

Because these import costs are included in the shipping cost, it may be higher than you expect. However, the amount you pay at checkout is the total cost to purchase and receive your order, with no unexpected customs charges on delivery.

Please see Customs, Duties & Import Taxes below for full details.

Shipping Process - We offer International Tracked shipping. Orders are shipped from the UK via Royal Mail, which allocates the parcel to a plane at Heathrow Airport within 24 hours of dispatch. Once the parcel clears customs, it is passed to your local postal provider.

Same Day Dispatch - Orders placed before 3pm GMT are dispatched the same day on each working day.

Timescales - The estimated timescale is the number of business days after dispatch. This does not include customs clearance delays or events such as postal strikes.

Tracking - You will receive an email with tracking details. Please check your junk mail folder if you haven't received it. Tracking details are also available in your customer account. While EU border control assesses the parcel, no tracking information will be updated. This is normal; the parcel is not lost. When the parcel is cleared, it is passed to the local postal service, and tracking begins on their website.

Parcel Weights - Shipping services usually allow parcel weights up to 5kg (2kg for a few EU countries). If your order exceeds the allowable weight, we will split it into two parcels at no extra cost to you.

Lost Parcels - Parcels are not considered lost until 20 working days after dispatch. This provides customs authorities enough time to process delayed parcels.

CUSTOMS, DUTIES & IMPORT TAXES

1. AUSTRIA, CYPRUS, FRANCE, GERMANY, IRELAND, LUXEMBOURG, MALTA, NETHERLANDS, PORTUGAL, SWITZERLAND

Your order is shipped using a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service.

This means all applicable import taxes, customs duties and import fees are calculated at checkout and paid with your order. We then pay these charges on your behalf, so you won't have to pay anything when your parcel arrives, and delivery is to your address rather than a Post Office.

The amount you pay at checkout is the total cost to purchase and receive your order.

Some shipping charges may appear higher than expected because they include the costs of importing your parcel into the EU. These costs are set by the EU, individual EU governments and postal providers, not by VOCLA®.

For transparency, our postage and packaging charges include:

  • Shipping costs
  • Packing and packaging costs
  • EU import VAT and other import taxes
  • EU customs duties
  • Duty and tax calculation fees charged by our e-commerce platform
  • EU customs duty fees on parcels valued below €150 (introduced from 1 July 2026, where applicable)
  • EU customs handling fees
  • Country-specific import handling fees charged by certain countries, notably France and Italy
  • Courier or postal provider clearance, processing and payment fees (these are particularly high for Norway at £8 and Switzerland at £6)
  • Any other applicable import-related charges

If we did not use a DDP service, some of these costs would be considerably higher, and they would all be charged to you on delivery.

With a DDP service, you will not be asked to pay any additional customs duties, taxes or import fees when your order is delivered.

***We expect this Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service to be available soon for the following countries:

Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden.

2. ALL OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

The products are sold excluding taxes. We have discounted the price to reflect that customers do not pay UK VAT. However, EU Customs may charge you or the recipient import taxes and/or customs duties. VOCLA is not responsible for these charges.

European customers should be charged the following on delivery:

  • IMPORT TAX - On the value of your order, plus the value of the shipping fee, at the rate in your country
  • CUSTOMS DUTIES - Usually 12% for clothing products, on orders over €150, and only on products manufactured in countries outside the EU with no free trade agreement. The product's country of origin (manufacture) is shown on every product page, within the 'Product Data' section, allowing you to plan to reduce charges. Brands manufactured in the EU or a country with which the EU has a free trade agreement include (therefore, you are best focusing on these brands):
    • Alexander COBB, Barcode Berlin, CODE22, Locker Gear, Modus Vivendi, TOF Paris (EU origin)
    • PUMP! (Colombian origin - free trade agreement)
    • SUKREW (UK origin - free trade agreement)
    • Locker Gear (Bangladesh origin - free trade agreement)
    • CODE 22 (Bangladesh origin - free trade agreement)
  • EU CUSTOMS DUTY FEES - From 1st July 2026, on parcels below €150. These fees are €3 for every tariff classification (ie each item with a different HS tariff code and country of origin. These fees are not charged on products that qualify for preferential treatment, as explained above.
  • POSTAL HANDLING FEES - Your postal service will likely charge a handling fee to cover clearance, payment, and processing fees with border control. This is usually a few euros, but some countries charge much higher amounts, notably Belgium, so we recommend checking.
